Reflecting on the past 12 months, NorthStar has achieved several significant milestones. Apart from a 25% team expansion, NorthStar facilitated the opening of a new office to host our European HQ in Luxembourg. Our ESG strategy, is now an integral part of our procedures and decision processes. And of course, we successfully launched the first commercial space-based SSA satellite constellation, dedicated to enhancing the accuracy and precision of SSA services for space operators.
These achievements form the fabric of our organization and manifest the purpose and pride we all share as a team.
Selected Highlights:
- January: Collaborated with Axelspace for the world’s first combined Ground and Space-Based SSA services.
- June: Aligned Space-Based SSA services with World Economic Forum recommendations and ranked among Canada’s top 50 growing ‘green’ companies.
- Formed a strategic partnership with SES in June to enhance Commercial Space-Based SSA Services.
- Launched the Lux Impulse project in September from our Luxembourg office, advancing services like Conjunction Warnings, Automatic Collision Avoidance and Orbital Heat Mapping.
- Successfully deployed our first four SSA satellites on January 31st, 2024.
On the social calendar there were many memorable events where colleagues had an opportunity to get acquainted in a more relaxed and fun atmosphere. It’s always good to chill and blow off steam together ;-)
