Expanding U.S. capabilities to meet growing demand for dual-use Space Situational and Space Domain Awareness
New York, June 3rd, 2026 – NorthStar Earth & Space Inc. (“NorthStar”) , a privately held corporation with headquarters in Montreal and offices in Luxembourg and McLean, Virginia, expands its growth and expertise in commercial and government Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) activities, announces the appointment of Kevin Benedict as Vice President of Business Development for U.S. Operations.
This appointment reflects NorthStar’s commitment to deliver commercial space-based monitoring systems that detect potentially hostile activity against critical defense and intelligence assets in space. NorthStar delivers decision quality SDA information services that leverage space-based object tracking, proprietary algorithms, and multi-source data fusion capabilities to address growing demand for security and sustainability in space.
With over 20 years of experience in national space security, and over $3B in career contract wins Kevin has a proven record of accelerating growth, capturing strategic programs, and driving portfolio execution across the U.S. national defense, intelligence, and national space security sectors.
From early beginnings at the US Air Force directing an $850M R&D satellite portfolio, Kevin established one of the Department of War’s (DoW) first Space Situational Awareness software development programs. Kevin also held senior growth leadership roles at Raytheon, Ball Aerospace, Peraton, and OST, where he successfully built pipelines, increased revenue, and delivered mission-critical outcomes across C5ISR, SATCOM, SSDA, and intelligence programs.
Kevin will leverage existing NorthStar products already serving Allied mission objectives. He will expand NorthStar’s business pipeline amidst an increasing demand from the DoW and Intelligence Community customers to improve space security through commercial information services.
