Privacy Policy for Applicants

You will find below more information in relation to data protection principles.

1. Responsible

The Human Resources team for NorthStar Earth & Space Europe S.à r.l. are based in Montréal, Canada (NorthStar headquarter). Such team, together with the Luxembourg Office Administration Manager, will process your data in the context of the application process.

The data submitted upon our application is collected by the above-mentioned responsible. The servers on which the data is processed are located in Canada.

2. Purposes of the processing

Your data will be processed for the following purposes:

• Contact
  We use the telephone number, e-mail address and, if applicable, postal address we receive from you to contact you about all matters relating to your application.
• Profiling
  The data and CV you enter and upload via our application platform are processed directly by the Responsible. A profile will be created. You can request changes. The input and upload of data takes place via a secure https connection.
  If you apply by e-mail, we will transfer your data and documents to the Responsible.
• Information on new job advertisements
  If you have ticked “I agree that NorthStar may contact me for future employment opportunities over a 2 year period” in our application screen, we may send you relevant job postings by email.
• Compliance with laws and guidelines
  We process your data to monitor the application process for equality and diversity and to comply with legal obligations. Nationality information is collected to support compliance with right to work legislation in the location of the vacancy and to comply with export control laws and regulations.

3. Data and types of data being processed

The following personal data will be processed as part of the application process. The information is mainly collected at the time of application:

• Profile data (e.g. e-mail address, surname, first name)
• Application data to verify whether the candidate fulfils the eligibility and selection criteria lays down in the vacancy notice (e.g. CV, references, work experience)

If your profile matches the vacant position, we will send your documents directly to relevant decision- makers within NorthStar Earth & Space Europe S.à r.l. & NorthStar Canada headquarter.

6. Retention period

The data of recruited applicants are kept together with their personnel file after their recruitment. The retention period for this data is the same as for the personnel file, but no longer than necessary or required by law.

You can also have your applicant profile deleted from our applicant management system at any time. To do so, send an email to hr@northstar-data.com.

7. Your rights

As a candidate, you have the right to access your data. You have a right to update or correct your personal data at any time. You also have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. You can exercise these rights by sending an e-mail to hr@northstar-data.com.

Your application entails that you agree to the described data processing of your personal data and we may thus process your data.
