NorthStar Appoints Michal Shimoni as Luxembourg Business Development Technical Lead

Luxembourg, July 9, 2026 – NorthStar Earth & Space S.à r.l. (“NorthStar Europe”), continues to expand its commercial and government Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) activities with the appointment of Michal Shimoni as Business Development Technical Lead for Europe.
Michal joins NorthStar with more than 20 years of experience in the global space sector, bringing a combination of technical expertise, innovation leadership, and strategic business development. Throughout her career, she has successfully translated advanced technologies into valuable operational and commercial solutions for government, defence, and commercial customers.

Michal previously served as Director of Analytics and Applications at Kuva Space, where she led the development of advanced Earth observation data products and services while managing European Space Agency and European Commission projects. Prior to Kuva, she spent two decades at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium, leading research and innovation initiatives in remote sensing, image intelligence, and AI-driven applications for defence and security.
Based at NorthStar’s Luxembourg headquarters, Michal will focus on expanding strategic partnerships and business opportunities across Europe’s space, defence, and security sectors.
