Information & Intelligence for Safety & Security
NorthStar Earth & Space was founded in Canada in 2018 on the principle that precise information increases transparency and enables humanity to protect Earth and the space environment around it.
In response to the rapid acceleration of activity and inherent threats in Space, NorthStar focused its expertise and technology on Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) as an immediate priority. NorthStar developed and launched space-based sensing, data fusion, and advanced analytics to deliver real-time insight into activity across the orbital environment.
Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, with a European office in Luxembourg and operations in the United States, NorthStar serves customers across government defence, civil, and commercial satellite markets. Its work has expanded from supporting the safe and sustainable use of Space to meeting a growing need for advanced space security that includes threat detection within sovereign space capabilities.
Supporting Sovereign Space Capabilities with Allies
Access to trusted, timely, and independent space intelligence is increasingly essential to national sovereignty.
NorthStar plays a growing role in Canada’s space and defence ecosystem through commercial SDA services and supports allied mission partners around the world through critical operational engagement between domestic and international partners.
Looking Ahead
As space continues to become more important to security, commerce, communications, and daily life on Earth, NorthStar continues to expand its sensing network, analytics platform, and operational services to meet growing global demand for space intelligence.
Our mission remains unchanged: to provide the information & intelligence necessary to better understand complex orbital environments, anticipate emerging risks, and support better decisions for a safer and more sustainable future.
